| Union Pacific Railroad "Passenger
Special" [CSX Train Symbol P967-22]
arrived at the CSX's South Philadelphia yard at 12:10 pm on Sunday, July
23, 2000. The "Passenger
Special" traveled to Philadelphia for
the Republican 2000 Presidential Convention. UP E-Units, UP 949
and UP 951 , were in charge of the approximately 25 car "Passenger
Special."
Included in the "Passenger Special" consists was the Union Pacific Business Car "Shoshone." The "Shoshone" was donated to the California State Railroad Museum during the "Official Opening" in 1981. In 1991 the "Shoshone" was "loaned back" to the Union Pacific Railroad, for use by their Executive Officers. During the "loan back" to the Union Pacific Railroad, the railroad provided the Union Pacific Business Car No. 103 for the use of the California State Railroad Museum. |
